Identification History: If you have an account, your identification results (species name, details, and a thumbnail) are stored so you can review past scans.

Payment Information: Payment processing is handled by PayFast. We do not store your credit card details. We only receive confirmation of payment status.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• OpenAI: For AI-powered species identification. Photos are sent to OpenAI's API for analysis.
• PayFast: For secure payment processing of Pro subscriptions.
• Expo: For app delivery and updates.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your account data and identification history are stored in a secure database. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption.

5. Camera and Photo Library Access

The app requests permission to access your camera and photo library solely for the purpose of capturing or selecting photos for species identification. We do not access your photos for any other purpose.

6. Children's Privacy

NatureSnap is designed to be family-friendly and suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete your identification history at any time within the app. To delete your account entirely, please contact us at the email address below.
